Figma is a tool for digital design. It's similar to Sketch, or like a cross between Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

The great part about Figma is that you can add functionality to it with plugins. So if there's something you can't do with Figma's default behavior, there's a good chance you can do it with a plugin! Here are just a few of the things Figma plugins let you do:
→ You can add blend modes and crop and resize photos directly in Figma
→ You can search for an insert free stock photography directly in Figma
→ You can trace B&W images to turn them into vector art (e.g. for logos) directly in Figma
→ You can remove the background from an image directly in Figma
→ You can create isometric drawings directly in Figma
→ You can generate crazy object repeating effects directly in Figma
→ You can generate Lorem Ipsum filler text directly in Figma
→ You can add Material Design Icons directly in Figma
→ You can create and export simple animations directly in Figma
Those are just a few examples of what's possible in Figma. There are hundreds of plugins that have been published by now, and there's tons more functionality that comes with Figma by default, so I suggest taking some time to explore what's possible!
The following repositories of design resources contain everything from icons to inspiration, fonts and design systems, and everything in between. There are many sites out there like this. Here are just a few of them.
